Grace

Grace in motion,

                revelation in every stroke.

                                The arcing sweep declares the imminent spirit.

The draw of the bow across the cello.

                The caress of pen to paper.

                                The step and glide of ski on a snowy trail.

What animates serves symmetry in every breath,

                in and out . . . . in and out

                                bequeathing elegance to every movement.

Gifts are given,

                not to be wasted in hesitancy or distraction

                                for there lies a heart’s fragment.

We stand amazed;

                and thus spirit is made flesh.
